Frequently asked questions.
Do I need experience to take lessons?
Some singing experience helps, but you don't need to be advanced. Lisa works with motivated singers at every stage — from those with a little training to working professionals preparing for auditions. The video submission helps her understand where you are so she can tailor the first session.
What is the video audition?
New students submit two contrasting 1-minute video clips of themselves singing. This isn't a pass/fail audition — it helps Lisa understand your current level, identify areas to focus on, and determine if she's the right coach for your goals.
Do you offer online lessons?
Yes. Online lessons are available via Zoom or FaceTime at the same price as in-person sessions. Many students outside of Las Vegas work with Lisa exclusively online.
How often should I take lessons?
Most students benefit from weekly sessions, but Lisa works with your schedule. Some students come biweekly, and some take intensive blocks before auditions or performances.
What styles of music do you teach?
All styles. Lisa's professional experience spans pop, rock, jazz, R&B, musical theater, and country. The vocal techniques she teaches are universal — they apply regardless of genre.
Do you teach children?
Lisa works with students across a wide range of ages, from younger singers to seasoned adults. Younger students are considered individually — the video submission helps Lisa decide whether she's the right fit, and if not, she's glad to point you toward another instructor.
What is vocal rehabilitation?
If you've experienced a vocal injury (nodules, strain, surgery recovery), Lisa works with you to rebuild your voice safely. She coordinates with your doctor or speech therapist as needed.
How do I book a lesson?
Fill out the contact form on this site. If you're a new student, include your video audition link. Lisa reviews every submission personally and will respond with availability and next steps.
What is the cancellation policy?
Please give at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule for full credit. Less than 24 hours, the lesson fee is retained — with one no-charge exception per student per year, because everyone gets sick once.
